The IHA Hospital Board Assessment was designed to measure and benchmark a hospital board’s performance. There are two sections to the program, the main section being the board assessment. This section will allow each board member to answer a set of customizable questions about the board as a whole.
When completed this section will give the board a better understanding of their strengths and weakness and will give benchmarking information against their peer group as well as the state as a whole. The second section of the program is a personal evaluation. This was designed to give each member a better understanding of their own strengths and weakness as a contributing member of the board.
The personal section will not have benchmarking information and the final result of the data is a weighted average of all the members that will give the board a better understanding of how the group collectively feels about their contributions. For best results IHA recommends using the program once a year.
