Iowa Healthcare Educators (IHE)

Effective continuing education and staff development programs are critical to the success of every hospital, and IHE works to ensure that those who guide education programs in Iowa hospitals are well educated and supported. Membership in IHE is open to anyone who works with continuing education and staff development programming in an Iowa hospital.

IHE Awards

 

Nomination requests for the IHE Awards are sent in February. Members are urged to nominate their hospitals or individuals for these awards.

 

  The IHE Award may be presented to one IHE member annually who has excelled in his or her contribution to IHE, and his/her contributions to the field of health care education and training in the state of Iowa. The IHE Award is the highest award a member can receive from the society.

 

  The Lamp of Knowledge Award may be presented to a member for the development and presentation of an outstanding training program or seminar. Multiple Lamp of Knowledge Awards may be presented annually.

 

  The IHE Institutional Award may be presented to an organization that has developed innovative programs or innovative program delivery technology. Multiple Institutional Awards may be presented annually.

 

  The Louis D. Holloway Mentorship Award may be presented to one IHE member annually who exemplifies the supportive unique qualities of mentorship in the role of teacher, sponsor, counselor and facilitator.
