After 25 years of publishing Iowa Hospital Profiles in hardcopy – the Iowa Hospital Association is changing our approach to this important data source for IHA members. Recognizing the ever-changing technology landscape, as well as the commitment of the association to “go green”, IHA is pleased to announce the newest version of Iowa Hospital Profiles on the web.
The website is an easy to use tool accessible via www.ihaprofiles.org.
The site contains a wealth of valuable information – but the benefit of being “online” is that the data can be consistently updated as it becomes available rather than only once per year. As always, Profiles presents information on Iowa hospital and health system organization, utilization, personnel, finance, economics, and demographics. Profiles also includes hospital and health system specific detailed data in PDF format that can be easily saved and/or shared.
The data is not limited to a computer screen, however, as each web report shows three options for saving or sharing data:
The Profiles website underscores the fact that hospitals and health systems are essential to the social and economic health of our communities, both rural and urban. The Profiles website is intended to provide facts quickly and comprehensively to assist health policy decision makers, and business and community leaders, in understanding the impact of their decisions on access to and quality of health care in Iowa.
